BUT... on the bright side, Idea of You, Shotgun, #27 and Corn Bread are all getting a lot of love, and I think the most important thing is that the new material is good. If they can shape up Eh Hee, that's 5 solid potential-album songs that will be abandoned/ruined once the band starts recording with Baston again.

i am seriously amazed. i mean, prior to seeing this setlist i was like..eh they're not doing so great with the setlists..but now i'm just really, really confused. i don't understand it. what would ever make them think that this was a good setlist and that the fans would love it? seriously, i don't understand. it makes me feel a little bit foolish.

this is the part i'm unsure of - i've already stated that no matter the setlist, i'll have fun - i'm sticking by that, but what i think the band is doing with their setlists is play what they want, not necessarily what all the fans want to hear - i mean how many interviews or shows have we all heard dave say that he plays what he wants and what he likes? so i guess what i'm saying is i don't know that they are making setlists with the fans in mind, sure partially, but they obviously like what they're playing or they wouldn't play it - in short, who knowswhatshername wrote:i am seriously amazed. i mean, prior to seeing this setlist i was like..eh they're not doing so great with the setlists..but now i'm just really, really confused. i don't understand it. what would ever make them think that this was a good setlist and that the fans would love it? seriously, i don't understand. it makes me feel a little bit foolish.

i'm with you whit, i dont know what to think. one would have to assume the band knows what fans want to hear, right? i mean stefan did that poll on his blog on what songs fans missed the missed, i think blue water, sugar will, and crazy easy were the top 3. plus dave mentioned in a RS interview that he wanted to play last stop more this tour.
arg, they frustrate me.

Yeah, but the numbers are kind of misleading. You have to consider how well the record industry was doing in the 95-00 compared to the past few years.markusDMB33 wrote:Did it really sell that little in comparison to the others?

The record industry is doing fine. The album just didn't sell well. BTCS sold 7 million, UTTAD and Crash each sold around 5 mill, BS was about 3 mill, ED was 3 or 4 I believe. Stand Up was a huge disappointment financially in comparison.DMBassist52 wrote:Yeah, but the numbers are kind of misleading.
