Saturday Aug 4 2007
New England Dodge Music Center

Best of Whats Around - Great opener! Set my hopes high. Mistake.
When The World Ends - Got psyched when I saw the 12-string. Whoops.
One Sweet World - Good.
Hunger For The Great Light - Had to happen.
The Idea Of You - Love it.
Crash Into Me - DAMN.
Dream Girl - FAIL.
Out Of My Hands - Wait.. seriously? 3 SU songs?
#27 - Quite awesome. Really gritty. Lyrics are a little weak to me, but it has a strong groove.
Corn Bread - First time full band. Really kicked it up a notch. Loved it, but lyrics are weak again. Is the song really going to stay being about corn bread?
You Might Die Trying - Wait... seriously? 4 SU songs? Good groove though.
Louisiana Bayou - Clearly this is a hilarious joke. Good groove again though, what can you do.
Grey Street - Light at the end of the tunnel.
(Still Water) - Rudd was pretty cool.
Don’t Drink the Water - Predictable, but pretty good.
#41 - OUT OF NOWHERE! Awesome.
Two Step - Predictable closer, but very strong.

__________________

Sister - Saw the raised B guitar and I was like OH MAN YOU NEVER KNOW, but then I remembered that I was an idiot. Still really enjoy the tune though. Butch and Carter just sang "down your face" once, that's all.
Crush - Really cool encore. ...and what can you say about crush? Thought it was gonna be the last song.
Stay (Wasting Time) - Stay is Stay, but glad they ended it on a high note.

So uh yeah. New songs show promise. Looking forward to the Everyday opener tomorrow and a WAYG encore. Also anticipating smts-> astb -> too much. Really excited to see how they've changed up satellite this year too. Ants closer should be good as well.

Stage setup this year is the best one in recent memory, in my opinion.

They don't do SMTS--ASTB--Too Much anymore. They skip SMTS. Sorry for ruining the surprise.

What the hell do you mean "If they play with the band, they play with the band"...???

If they play with the band and they suck, they need to go. (butch/rashawnC)

Butch ruins just about every song for me and Rashawn only sounds good on Recently.

Rashawn definitely has his moments for me, but should NOT try to just play on every song.

I love Butch. Adds a little kick and musicianship to the band.

Rashawn just has terrible tone, IMO.

I can't stand Rashawn. Whatever he adds to Recently is not worth the horrid screeching he adds to everything else and Butch needs to stay in the background more to just fill things out. His organ annoys the hell out of me.

worst venue there is. and i'm not suprised, i have never seen filthier fans just throwing their bottles everywhere. hartford sucks, wish they would bypass it and play a 2 nite stand somewhere more worthy.
