Tickets were not selling very well at the beginning of this tour so they got everyone excited at the start by bringing back some rare stuff that fans wanted to hear, and as a result tickets sales shot up. Now that they are back on track money wise they can start to play all the bullshit that they want.
WOW! that is a huge accusation to make.
I know, but it makes sense.
no it really doesn't.
Well then what is your reasoning for all these songs disappearing
First of all when has DMB ever manipulated their fans to profit? If there's one thing they dont do its worry about money.
You guys can find anythign to complain about. to me having So Right and Pig in rotation is epic. Just because a few of you think its a treat to a die hard doesnt mean that everyone else is hell bent on hearign it. They were playing JTR well before this tour even started.
I mean what do you want form them, what is the big deal that they havent played last stop in a few shows?
You've got it all wrong. It's not 1995 anymore. We need to go back to those days, when they didn't have as many songs, so all they played was the rare stuff. I don't wanna see anything pre-BTCS unless it's a work in progress version the rest of this tour or it will have been a complete and utter failure.

Lets see...how about when they scrapped the Lillywhite Sessions and made Everyday (Remember their appearance on TRL? Hmm I wonder what that was all about?? Oh yeah, pop rock and boy bands were hot at the time so they tried to attach themselves to that audicence). Or how about when they scrapped the Summer '04 songs that everyone loved and made Stand Up (Now what was selling at this time? Ah yes, rap, so what do they do. They hire 50 Cents producer and make an album full of loops and synthetic beats). Oh and remember in 2003 when they pulled the same shit they are pulling this year. They started off the tour playing a bunch of rare stuff and before you knew it by the end they were playing ED set lists again. If you are guys are so naive and can't understand that this bands main function these days is to make money and to half ass it in both the studio and stage then thats your problem not mine.

OK oliver stone. why the fuck are you here or listening to them then?
I could tear this drivel apart but it is not worth my time in any way. You are exactly liek a woman that gets hit by her husband and wont leave him.
If this band is so evil and concentrating only on making money, why the fuck are you still so fuckign all about them?

Because they still show flashes of what they once were from time to time. Busted Stuff is a good album, the summer '04 songs are among some of my favorite songs, some of this years songs show promise, and going to see them during the summer is a tradition, so thats why I stick around, eventhough they continue to let me down.
And I don't believe that they are evil. I believe that they are unbelievebly lazy when it comes to the studio and occasionally the live setting.

But you see thats the whole problem, when you do that (ex. go to a concert with the feeling that their going to disappoint you) all your doing is making it worse for yourself. Don't deny that if you went to a show and had a totally clear mind on what you were going to see and just let all of the grooves get in your head you'd have a great time everytime with DMB.

I'm talking about in the studio. Yes they can let you down live from time to time (Darien last year), but its hard not to have a good time at a show once your there even if the set list is not to your liking.

So if you are bound to have a good time at a concert (as you just said)....then why do you bitch about concerts and say "sorry to everyone at the concert...that sucked!"
Why do you go to concerts? Why do you think other people go to concerts? To have a good time? Cause if so....you really dont have much reason to bitch in a thread about the goddamn concerts.

I meant the whole concert experience, driving up with your friends, tailgating, that sort of stuff. I didn't word that properly at all.

So? I dont see how that made any difference. Is the concert not part of this "concert experience" that you talk about?

Well yeah I stand there when a song like Dreamgirl is played and all the 12 year olds start flipping out.
And as far as me sharing stuff...what can I say? They are still my favorite band and I'm fortunate enough to have my own website with a lot of bandwith that I enjoy sharing with the good people of this board. Just because I may not like a certain performance or song doesn't mean that I won't try and find it as fast as possible for you guys and upload it.

I haven't been following this, but it seems to me like people are flipping out on Gianni for expressing his opinion. You don't have to agree with it, and feel free to post why, but please don't insult him personally... I think Gianni has done enough to deserve to be treated better than that.
