i think both nights look banging. night 1 is better cause of Cortez and #41 with Flecktones, but night 2 looks tight because of Say Goodbye, Lie In Our Graves w/ Bela, Crush, Jimi Thing with the Flecktones, and Billies Closer.

no, it makes sense, unfortunately its not common. its actually pretty rare stateside.

I dont know, of course there are certain things that I think are worth fighting for to remain the same, but those, for the most part, are things in my immediate control or directly effect me. But then there are just things that I have no control of whatsoever and that are up to other people. The ones that I cant control....no reason to hold on to them. Just learn to deal and let things go. If you spend too much time trying to correct the uncorrectable...thats just time wasted.

well i guess i missed all the posts about randalls island... but it was incredible.. totally worth the 9 hour drive.. the getting lost multiple times.. and the hostel in harlem that smelled like pee!

Seek Up AND jimi thing with the flecktones is way too much for a casual fan.

Fuck the casual fan once in a while. Give the diehards something. That would've made the tour for a lot of diehards and they just said fuck it. Why does it always have to be to the benefit of the casual fan? I know it isn't always, but my point should be clear. The diehards are the ones who put the band where they are.

I understand that this tour is far better than last year, and quite good overall. But the band has become a giant cock tease. They give you these juicy little nuggets and right as your faith is about to be restored they revert back to the consistant disappointments they've become since Everyday. Myself like many others fall for it every time because we want to believe that maybe THIS time it'll flesh out. But it never does. That shit gets old.

Throw us a bone, man. Wait. Fuck that. The whole steak every once in a while wouldn't kill 'em. Quit saying you're going to give us steak and swapping it out with McDonald's.

My case is songs like Everyday, Crash Into Me, Grey Street, Ants Marching, and others are going to make a show for a casual fan. Songs like Dreaming Tree, JTR, Last Stop, BEF, and other "rarities" are going to make a show for a die-hard fan. I think last night's show, as well as a number of other shows this tour have been able to please both types of fans.

The only difference between the casual fan and the die-hard fan is the casual fan doesn't get mad when the band plays something that is catered to the die-hard fan. The die-hard fan, however, becomes angry (or at least peeved) when the band plays something for the casual fan.

I don't think I worded this well at all, but if you understand what I'm saying I'm happy.

so to be a die hard fan you have to be a self richeous prick and hate anythign that a typical fan will like and no average fans can like what you do.

i think you knew very well that thats not what i meant - check's right, everyone keeps bitching about the recent shows and what songs they aren't or are playing - its their fucking decision, they're the band, they're allowed to do what they want when it comes to playing songs - if you don't like it, go cry in the corner about your $100 ticket, you bought it, they're not forcing you to - i bet if a lot of people on these boards had time with the band for one question/statement, it wouldn't be "god dammit why did you play all those shitty songs and not have flecktones guest on last stop?" lets get over all the stupid bickering and enjoy the damn music

i spent a good solid $500 on randalls island this year, another 70 or so when they came to toronto, and last year i spent about $1500 to go down to the gorge to see them all 3 nights. And you know what.. i would do it again in a second. i really dont see what alot of you have to complain about, and if your gonna complain about the money you wasted on the show then dont go to the damn shows!

and p.s. no im not a spoiled rich kid.. i had to work my ass off.. and give up a tonn of my social life to afford these trips. and like i said i would do it again in a second.
