For me, when played midset, it just kills any of TEH ENERGY!!!!!!11!@1! that they had gotten up worse than any other song. Even in the E1 slot, I found myself yawning and wishing they were playing Old Dirt Hi....I mean...something else.tbillie41 wrote:i like the song too, but not live. seeing it last summer was enough.DJR07 wrote:i like SAWG, especially the ending - if i were going to another show this summer i wouldn't mind seeing that, bet they start playing it a lot too now that they just played it

Well, I jsut got back. Overall, I had an absolutely awesome time and the music was great. Some real highlights for me were hearing Last Stop with a really cool jam, #41 with an amazing solo by Warren, SMTS--->ASTB? just because ever since I watched Central Park that's been my favorite thing Dave plays. And also the Rapunzel was really jammed out at the end and very good.
There were a few things I didn't like as much though. One being the size of the venue. I'd never been to a concert of this size and being in the Lawn makes you lose all connection with the artist. I found that I was generally watching the screens. It was kinda like watching a DVD with 30,000 people. Another thing was I would have much rather heard songs like Warehouse, Jimi Thing, or Two Step instead of hearing Idea Of You AND Can't Stop twice.
One cool thing was that I really never listened to Stand Up so I was pretty unfamiliar with SU songs. They weren't as bad as I remembered from the CD. Smooth Rider was alright, but Hunger For The Great Light was really really awesome and full of energy. That was one of my favorite songs from Night 1 which really suprised me.
One kinda cool thing that happened was as everyone was leaving they herded everyone along this fence. But then a bunch of people starting jumping on the fence. And then more people did. So after a minute or two the entire huhge fence jsut ripped down and everyone went straming through it. Yes, it was kinda dumb, but it was still fun.
Overall, great experience, but next year I'm gettin reserved seats for sure

Yeah man, it wasn't directed at anyone in particular really. I believe Nitro got mad at the fact that many were revelling Louisiana Bayou for it's "energy!!!!!!", and if I remember correctly, he's not a big fan of the song. So he wrote out TEH ENERGY!!!11!@11!!! in one of his posts. I thought it was funny, I used it in mine.
