you didnt say anything to him?
For real, a beer spill is an accident, if someones blatently blowing smoke in your face, dont take that shit.
if you can't hold your fucking beer don't drink the beer. and at least apologize. i told the kid blowing the smoke in my face to get his faggot ass back on the lawn, as he wasn't even in his seats, he just hopped down... he gave me the craziest blank stare ever. i was with my dad for father's day, and my dad called him gay because he was singing crush to his man-friend.

i would have been like, if you dont have a problem with meeting up me in the parking lot after the show keep blowing smoke in my face

...wow. so much for them peaking.

ok ive noticed a lot of people complaining about reptitiveness and i agree...but what would you guys suggest to mix it up? i mean, they arent gonna go a show without playin a lot of SU songs...soo...what do you suggest?

I think they could mix up the old ones. I for one would love to hear recently, song that jane likes, ill back you up, typical situation, stay, lie in our graves, when the world ends, if i had it all, raven, everybody wake up.

I mean there are a lot of songs they can be playing night to night instead of the same 10 older ones they play night to night.

If i was them I would probably want to mix it a ton. It has to get a little tiresome night after night.

Why havent we heard Everybody wake up yet?? It is a damn good song.
Please help me...there are worshipers on my ass and chest.

Yeah obviously all shows will be high on SU songs, but its the songs around those ones that are the problem. They need to change those up more, would it kill them to bust out a song like Pig or The Dreaming Tree once in awhile. That being said I know the shows still kick ass as far as energy and everything, they just need to mix it up a little bit.

the weird thing is, that as bad as i thought the stand up songs would be live, they actually are really good. no real great jams, but they're real nice little songs in between the old favorites. they're a lot better live, oddly enough.

quick story from last night
(heard during beginning of two step, boyd's little violin riff)
random teeny bopper:"what song is this"
random tough guy boyfriend in trucker hat:"two step"
random teeny bopper:"oh, i loooooooooooooooooove this song"

As much as I realize this tour is basically a Stand Up promotion, would it hurt to play some of the songs from last year? I would love to hear Joy Ride and Crazy Easy mixed in a little more frequently.

It's cool that they have played BOWA a few times this year. I noticed on dmbalmanac that they still haven't busted out Say Goodbye, The Last Stop, Raven, Captain, You Never Know. Perhaps I will get lucky! Or even better if they squeeked in a Halloween, Minarets, or full version of #40. That would pretty much make the concert for me.

alright have been busy lately but i wanna make a review on last nights show in scranton. shit was great! The venue was pretty nice although the pavilion was larger than many places i was in it so i didnt mind. The crowd was loud as hell!

the stuff DMB played last night was really good. They played alot of the big songs that always have good jams. Warehouse was sounding really sweet and butch went crazy at parts liek he usually does. BOWA was a nice parts of the show. But the highlight was def the ending with 2 step. No one really expected it but it happened and it was perfect. one of the best versions i have seen. after all the great shit calmed down a little i joked to my friend saying i wish carter would solo now. sure enough he gave a killer solo and then they finished it off. IDC what anyone is saying about the shows being lame now and cookie cutter. Once you get out to a show you will see the energy is still there and the shows are still great!

With the band I completely agree. D&T slowed down version with fame outro and badass Timmy jams I have to disagree.

agree with everything he said. there was a sort of pattern to the show. after dreamgirl they did three/four old songs, followed by two/three new ones, went back old, back new, etc etc. but the way they did the old ones was awesome. there were a couple jams in particular, the conga-like warehouse jam was awesome, jimi thing was just nuts and too much to close was amazing. sure, most of the set lists this summer will be made up that way. but from a pure energy standpoint, you can not complain at all. and even the new songs sounded very good. the best was when dave sat down for stolen away, and stand up actuallyl sounded 10000x better then it does on the album. if they played the stand up songs the way they played them live, i would love the album. all in all, a great show. especially since don't drink the water came out of nowhere, but it was awesome that they played it.
