seriously though, after one show there I understood. Every kid is a trust fund (wrong term im sure) baby driving mommy and daddy's car, going to the nicest of universities on their check book, still get bought a whole new wardrobe before the start of every school year and they are 23.
god I couldnt stand anyone there. Fucking littering everywhere, breaking shit, no respect for anyone else's shit. I assume none of them know what a day of work is like.

anyway, im back and i had a blast. night 2 fucking rocked my socks off. rapunzel, granny, ants early in the show. i could tell sunday would be better, the first night the band had a lot of energy and seemed to have a good time. met up with dino and costa, smoked a blunt, and played some guitar with andy (graves).

To add to checkii's ranting. I will also add the kids that are partying acting like a bunch of morons. Now I have no problem with anyone partying but don't act like it is your first time or that you are so crazy. Believe it or not other people have done beer bongs before.
I felt pretty bad last year. I went with my girlfriend to the 2nd night of Alpine Valley. We were sitting next to a group of girls. Most of them were in their mid 20's to early 30's except for one lady who was in the 55-65 range. It turned a bunch of daughters took their mother to a DMB concert which is so cool.
Well anyways, a bunch of 19-20 year old retarded college kids were standing behind them. They were acting obnoxious pretty much the whole time. They were going to the bathroom right behind this group of girls which of course fluids go downhill. Then they kept on stumbling into these girls mother. One of them had the nerve to tell the mother that she didn't belong there and that she needed to get the f* out. I told the kids to stop acting like jerks and if they needed to have a further discussion I would meet anyone of them out in the parking lot to further the discussion.
Afterwards I thought, what a bunch of idiots who truly don't understand dave's music. The whole concert experience(IMO) is meant to bond with people from different backgrounds and different viewpoints all bonded by the love of the music. A lot of DMB songs have to deal with love, peace and getting along with fellow mankind. In hindsight, those kids were the ones that didn't belong, not the 60 year old lady trying to enjoy the concert with her daughters.

Yeah, even though that sucked Alpine is a great venue to go to. You should definitely check it out. Great atmosphere and I just love natural ampitheatre's. Of all the concerts I have been to, the vibe coming from the band is always great at Alpine. I plan on going there again this year. It just seems like DMB steps it up when they go there.
Maybe you and I can show the young pups how beer bongs are done

It's true, I hate CT, I am originally from Seattle, and when I moved here years back, I was completely suprised about how spoiled every friggin kid is. Nothing is going to change though... so I just suggest people get used to it. 7 years of living in the richest, snobbiest town in CT, and you learn that it only gets worsecheckii wrote:SPOILED LITTLE BASTARDS!!!wkpggrvn2001 wrote:what the fuck is wrong with the people up there?bbatsell wrote:hahahahahha... strike.........8 for hartford!GSRLessard14 wrote:So right before Old Dirt Hill, two kids burst out on stage and try to grab on to dave. they knocked over roi's horns and got tackled and hauled away by bodyguards. i felt bad for dave, but he laughed it off, i couldn't make out what he was saying though. still, they could have been armed or something, and they got on stage no problem... anyway..

Isnt Glastonburry in the middle of bum fuck nowhere forrest CT? Pretty much an exit that all of the old people from hartford drive past on their way to Moheggan Sun (or foxwoods, whichever that is).MertieMac15 wrote:It's true, I hate CT, I am originally from Seattle, and when I moved here years back, I was completely suprised about how spoiled every friggin kid is.
