Can we rename this "The Official AlpineValley and Live4DMB Get Each Other Off Thread"?

I listened to them so much in high school that I kinda got bored with them. I am a music major in college and I listen to mostly jazz. Sometimes I listen to the classics- UTTAD, BTCS, Crass, but they just don't appeal to me on the level that they used to.

Well I don't know how Dave can get old, every show is different and he is so popular. Jazz is great and all but there is nothing live DMB

Wasn't he the one who contested DMB is the greatest assembly of musicians ever?

You need to see more bands. There may have been a brief time in the mid/late 90's when this was debatable, but certaintly not anymore. Maybe if you had seen them during their heyday you would understand, but it looks like your first shows were during the SU tour and if you think that their is no band in the world that can match those shows then well I don't know what to tell you.

Spot on Gianni. How one can assume DMB puts on the best concert show out there is just beyond me.

My friend invited me to see them at Deer Creek this summer, but I will be in Austria. At any rate, I'd be a lot more excited about a watered-down UM opening set than the main act.
