I know, that is not a good sign. I wish they would shelve Where Are You Going for awhile, no wait make it forever, and replace it with something off BTCS.GSRLessard14 wrote:I'm very scared that there hasn't been a single btcs song in these past two shows.. not to mention the fact that there was ONE the first show.

TANGLED UP IN BLUE! encore opener. that would be sweet.i am sam2 wrote:i think its about time they did a cover of like a rolling stone, or another dylan song.Nitro1515 wrote:They really need to cool it with Watchtower, its starting to get old. I love their version of it, but I'd much rather see them play one of their own insane high energy closers like The Last Stop than seeing this everynight.
i mean, they're not even playing crush, rapunzel, stay or ddtw... nevermind the last stop and halloween.Nitro1515 wrote:I know, that is not a good sign. i think pig would make an interesting closer, just to mix it up...and i think what you are is also a good one they dont do oftenNitro1515 wrote:Its great they are playing everything off the album, but its not like its some big surprize. I just think it would be nice if they mixed up their closers for a change. Watchtower is being played too much in recent years, and its become very predictable. I think it would be nice to shock the audience with some new closers this tour.GSRLessard14 wrote:Isn't enough of the set new stuff for you?! sheesh.

Wow, what a great show last night. My mind is blown
.
It started out with Juarssic 5, who wasnt really my style. They were good, but not great. So after waiting about 45 minutes after J5 was done, dmb finally came out.
Before I even get into the songs, the stage this year is awesome. Im not sure if there are pics on the road page or not yet, but check them out if there are. Its like the band is in a sphere of lights, with two huge screens on the side of the stage. And the stage, besides the storbe lights and spotlights, had all these little yellow lights on almost everything, that would shine from time to time. Behind Carter, these lights made a silloutte of the firedancer, which was really badass.
#41 was an amazing opener, a song I was really hoping to hear. It definatly got the show off to a chill start. Next they played Granny, which I have heard 3 out of 4 shows now, all in the second song spot. Its still fun to hear though, and hope anyone who hasnt yet gets to. Next they busted out American Baby, which was pretty good. The end jam was when it picked up, with LeRoi playing some insane sax, and Dave singing "baby, baby." It was sweet. Rhyme and Reason was the same as it always is haha. Out of my Hands was cool because I didn't expect them to play it, but you couldnt hear Butch that well on the piano, which kinda killed it. I think this song would fit better as the first encore song than where it was. Unless they segued it into The Stone, which I think would sound badass. Anyway, next was Everyday, which was a little flat. When the band dropped and Boyd did his violin solo, it sounded off. It wasnt as good as when they played it last year. Next came Dreamgirl and You Might Die Trying. These songs are awesome live, and definatly a welcome addition to the DMB catalog. I was very impressed. LIOG was definatly the highlight of the evening. Boyd was fucking on during his solo, and Butch was playing the keys like a champ. Even Stefan got a little solo during the jam. The next songs were Louisiana Bayou, Crash Into Me, Stand Up, and Where are you Going. Louisiana Bayou had this sweet end jam, where LeRoi and Boyd were like dueling. Stand Up was another highlight. Everyone on stage was singing "STAND UP!" It was great to see Stefan and Butch having so much fun with this song. There was a jam in the middle too, which I liked. I know alot of people here are complaining that they are playing too much new material. Don't be afraid of DMB playing a lot of new songs at your show, look forward to it. These new songs sound incredible live, with funky jams and unbelievable energy. The songs sound raw and fresh, and make for a damn good show. Hunger was really rocking, and watchtower blew my mind. Dave did the fire outro, and the screens had like a volcano going off, and all the lights went red. The encore was Steady As We Go and Warehouse. Warehouse was a surprise closer to me, but was definatly kicking.
My only complaint was the complete lack of BTCS material in the set. Though Im glad Stay is going on a break (it was a pretty perdicatble closer last year) I wish they wouldve busted out some at least one song from this album.
I know this is a long ass post, sorry for that. But this show deserved it. The sold-out crowd at Burgettstown left in awe, once again being rocked by DMB.
I cant wait for tonight
