last year I actually let my friend borrow my car from the concert because he met a girl that had a beach house in Lake Geneva and she wanted to take him home so they could be alone. Niether one of us were sober enough to actually drive. It was a pretty dumb decision, but I couldnt be the cockblock. Its guy code. I slept in another friend's car at a rest stop that night. It always happens that way, then we drive into Lake Geneva Sunday morning and walk around town hungover and burn time until its late enough to go back to the concert grounds. Always a great weekend.

I can recommend a couple of places:

Country View Campground--Great place. They have a section for concert-goers and more secluded sites as well. Security is a little tight (they had county sherrifs drive through the campground one night) but just use common sense and you should have no problems.

Hoppe Homestead--This is for more of the die hard concert-goer. The entire campground is just one big open field....so if you have allergies, bring your meds. There is basically no security so be prepared to party long and hard. The owners are really nice and the atmosphere is great. Just a warning, there are no showers so be prepared to take a whore's bath.

Both places are w/in 15-20 minutes of Alpine...of course getting into the parking lot is a different story.

Hope this helps!!

Every damn year I go with someone that tells me they are going to one of those places and every year it falls through. I just expect to sleep in my car this year.

did anyone end up gettin decent seats? The ticketbastard outlet that i went to was inside the boston store. The boston store opens their lazy asses at 10am on the mark and i run my ass off upstairs. I get there at like 10:03 and ended up getting the first day to alpine in section 202 Row QQ, not that bad but i was hoping for better, instead i was delayed for 3 minutes, bastards...

I am still waiting to see if I can get hooked up with some free front row seats, my boss has a small and nowadays unsure connection to the man which has gotten me great tickets in the past. If not, then I will buy some here in the next week.
