How so? With Ticketbastard I goto ticket window, I ask for tickey, they sell me one.

With WH I have no idea if I can get tickey, nor do I know where tickey seats me. (and I prepaid $35).

I was a member back then too, and the main reason I dumped the membership is because I was insulted by the fact that I was lured in by promises of meet and greets and ticket upgrades and usually got sub par seats, of course printed on nice card stock, lol!

The Warehouse is good for older DMB fans, or fans that have disposable income and don't have time to wait in line for a ticket.

Will waiting in line the day tickets go on sale and being the first one at Ticketmaster actually get you good seats?

Dude, I live in MA and got two tickets through Ticketmaster to see DMB in their homecoming show in C-Ville!!!

And, I've never been denied tickets from Ticketmaster and I get to have the tickets IN HAND upon purchase.

Yeah, Ive never been denied either, and Ive gotten tickets in hand, my question is if youre there the day the tickets go on sale right when TM opens, is there a good chance of getting like front row or really good seats.

It all depends, but like we both indicated, TM has never denied us. I just don't see what the actual benefit (if any) the WH provides. I'll keep my $35 and my pride and wait in line for an hour and get my tix in hand. The few times I've gotten seats from WH the seats were "worse" than any TM seats I've ever gotten. Does that "prove" anything, no, but it's still a fact.

gotcha, I was just wondering if being the first one to get tix through TM assures you good seats, probably doesnt. Ill just hope the seniority of the guys account I used actually pays off, if not Ill sell them.

Yeah, if anyone out there in dmbtabs.com land is a "senior" member I would really like to hear your opinions. I am curious if it really does "pay" to be a senior member.

I've used Ebay to get DMB tix too, I once met a seller in a Gap at a mall and it turned out to be a 17 year old girl who came alone, REALLY STUPID! My girlfriend at the time was astonished that this young chick would meet a total stranger like that alone.

i'm a 6th year member...i've gotten decent seats every year except last year...honestly, i can't make a good argument in defense of the WH based on what you've said in the previous posts of this thread..reason being, i wasn't sure where the Boston shows were going to be played...had i known that they were definitely going to be at the tweeter, then i would not have renewed...and the reason for that is because my gf's mom is a seat usher there and can guide us down to the front 4 rows for any concert held there...

so in an effort to ensure that i'd get good/decent seats in case it wasn't being held at the tweeter, i renewed for another year with the WH...so the crazy part about all this, is that i only needed to request 2 lawn seats for both 7/9 and 7/10, seeing as we won't be in the lawn anyway when she moves us closer...

obviously if the venues had been anywhere else i would have requested 'best available'.. so the deciding factor of whether or not i will renew next year hinges upon if i get denied for either of the only 2 shows that i requested this year (which again, are only lawn seats-not asking much)...last year i was 0-2 as a 5th year member (and one of those was even a lawn seat request!), so even 1-2 will be subpar for my expectations this year...

to me $35 isn't an issue if i get the early exposure to ticket sales...but if i get denied for the second year in a row, then i've given as much patience as i can and i will be done next year

i'll let you know how it goes
"Beeeees, bees!!! they're everywhere!!! They're sting-crazy!!! save yourself!! your firearms are useless against them!!"

Same here but I was 2nd row left stage! If things change this year I will be extremely pissed! I guess the "wait and see" addage applies this year. I've been a member of the WH for 5 years now and have received really, really good tix every year for Starlake.

this will sound kind of corney but it works... Everytime i get change or something i put it in the DMB Concert jar. I try to get at least 2 dollars in there a day if i can, and by the time tickets come on ticket master, i can afford to buy 5th row seat that are going for like $350-$400. That's very overpriced but i always get rows 1-5, just from saving spare change during the year. I have never had a problem, i always have enough money, and i always get an amazing seat... Ya i thought a bout warehouse but i always do better my way. It's a failproof meathod, try it :D !

I am an older DMB fan with a disposable income. I have been a member since '99...

I have been to eight or nine shows and have never been denied reserved seats. Typically, the seat locations have been average except on one occasion I had 12th row center and at another show I was 3rd row center.

I have never been offered a meet and greet or any other benefits, other than the lame package every year. To me the good tickets are worth the $35 bucks per year (or whatever it costs now).

P.S. that is a sweet picture Matt. What show is it from?

The ticket master outlets you guys go to must be in obscure places no one ever goes. The problem in philadelphia is that there are not that many TM locations. So every location has like fifty people waiting at it for tickets. As far as I know, they all do the raffle system too. I have tried for the last six years to get close tickets at a dave concert, but I always show up early, they do the raffle and I am suddenly number 38 in line. Everyone in front of my buys the 8 ticket max allowed and when I get up there, only lawn is left.

My one hope for the longest time was to see Dave and Tim up close. With his method, I don' think it will ever happen. I graduate soon and will be working in accounting, my hope is that just once I can drop a lot of money on scalped tickets and get a close seat. There doesn't really seem to be a better way.

Also, my friend is a senior member. She seems to always get denied for Dave and Tim shows too.
