cost situation

my opinion, kanter shouldnt pay shit, hes done way too much, there should be something organized, where, some sort of group pays like, 5 or ten bucks a month, i am sure we can all spare that, i can spare more, and so can others, but, if every active user, a big time user of the site, just threw in 5 or 10 bucks a month, think of how we could help kanter, just a thought, and i am wasted, so, if it sounds dumb, forgive the poster

ha....well, wasted ideas often turn out good!!! Anyway, truth be told right now we are perfectly good in terms of payments on the site. We don't owe anything.....BUT if you guys want more video's up....we are going to need more bandwidth and more bandwidth means more money. Also, I am going to have to pay $90 in June as when I signed up for the hosting it was June(Even though the site didn't go live until September). Anyway....as of now we are set with payments but in 3 months we will have to pay $90 more and if more content is wanted(VIRTUAL JAMS ANYONE?!?!?!!?!? I'm adding it...sneak peak to you board members, don't let it get out).......more bandwidth is needed.....we'll let you guys ponder it...peace

C'mon...need more sneak peek than that....it's been soo long since an update...so far we've been patient but the inmates are getting restless....you may have a riot on your hands jared.....I mean look what it did to dmbfanjason.....mass hysteria I tell you!!!! Give us somehting!

If you do need to save costs and bandwidth, you could always do a schedule.

For instance,
May- Have a set of songs with virtual jams, the videos, and all the happy horse chit.

June- Have a new set of the same thing.

With this rotation, you can save bandwidth and give all us DMB fans what we crave.

A good thing to do would be to lay it out on the front page too so everyone knows when it will be online and what is going on.

Also, I don't know about anyone else but when the videos are up I save them so I can play when I am not online. I think they are great and have really helped me come along playing. I use them very often.

I am not quite sure what a virtual jam is but a thing I myself would like to see is the full song played through on video. Still have the segments and then hae just the full song at the end. That way us beginners can put allthe pieces we learned together.

I am sure everything will turn out great. i love the site and you are doing a greatjob.

That sounds like a good idea, but obviously JKanter can't make everyone happy. If someone wants something and its not on here people could get pissy, but hopefully they won't. Good Idea!!!

kanters got some amazing things coming up that are well worth the wait. dont worry about it and dont bother him about it constantly, the time will come when everyone will be in awe of his projects.

Obviously my suggestion wont make everyone happy but it gives the site a way to get all the material out at least instead of maybe never seeing it b/c of bandwidth restrictions.

Let's face it, money not being an issue, we would have everything they could put out for us and that is the only way everyone would be happy essentially. The suggestion would just make so the material can at least be circulated instead of dormant. Take it for what it is worth.

Regardless, I will continue to be a part of the site and use it. Once I get a job I will donate too to see the site keep going.

All these suggestions are great. I have things that I working on and stuff is going on in the background. Additions to the site......nice cool changes. Don't worry about that stuff. I know we have been promising it for a while....but I will be doing my best before I go to Rome to get some stuff up....because it's been a while sing the last update.
