Crush Verse Chords

Unread post by billywestom » Sun May 25, 2003 12:26 am

We have had some discussion a long time ago about the chords used during the "and I do, for you" and "in this moment..." parts of this song. I had said that I had some chords that I believed he used, opposed to what you have on the site. But, after watching the Benaroya Hall DVD, I think that those two basic chords on the site are correct. I submitted a tab about crush (which i dont know if you are going to post) which i now believe is wrong. If you post it, i will change it. I guess the main purpose of this post is to say not to worry about those chords.
I can't believe that we would lie in our graves wondering if we had spent our living days well, and I can't believe that we would lie in our graves dreaming of things that we might have been...

Random movie quote to make you seem hip and "with it": The food court is downstairs. The cookie stand is upstairs. It's not like we're talking quantum physics here.

I also swear he plays this chord:

Code: Select all

E:-----
B:--3--
G:--4--
D:--4--
A:--2--
E:--x--
More than just in the intro, as opposed to this:

Code: Select all

E:-----
B:--3--
G:--x--
D:--4--
A:--2--
E:--x--
Does anyone else think so, I couldnt tell by watching the video but it looks like he plays it half the time, I could be wrong but that whole part where he plays that chord and then changes into the open g-string (grow up) seems to confuse me, I can never convince myself which way is right.

He definitely plays that second chord. You can see his finger on Storytellers, just hovering there to mute the string, then he lifts it to let the string ring open. Im positive
