This is exactly how I would have the entire tab setup..

Code: Select all

Verse

E:--------------------
B:--4-----------------
G:--1----4----7----6--
D:--2----1----4----2--
A:--4----2----5----4--
E:-------4----7----5--

"Oh my love, how you do me..."

(Go from the third chord of the verse directly to this)

E:---------------------
B:--2---0--------------
G:--2---2---4---4-\-3--
D:--2---2---x---x-\-x--
A:--0---1---2---2-\-1--
E:---------------------

"Play...with...me...again..."

(Go from the E chord of the previous section directly to this part...Strum each chord once)

E:--------------------
B:--4-----------------
G:--1----4----7----6--
D:--2----1----4----2--
A:--4----2----5----4--
E:-------4----7----5--

"Same old song..."

E:------------------------------------3--3--
B:--4-------------------5---------1---0--0--
G:--1----4----7----7----6----5----x---0--0--
D:--2----1----4----6----6----x----2---0--0--
A:--4----2----5----5----4----3----3---2--2--
E:-------4----7----4------------------3--3--

"How could I even try..."

E:---------------
B:---------------
G:---------------
D:--6----6----6-- <---4
A:--4----4----4-- <---1on 1st,2nd 4(2on 3rd 4)
E:--x----5----2-- <---2on5(1on2)

I can't believe that we would lie in our graves wondering if we had spent our living days well, and I can't believe that we would lie in our graves dreaming of things that we might have been...

See...the reason I wouldn't do that is because that section does not end on the 1x3...it ends on the A->E.

See...even still there. You are technically saying there that the "Oh my love, how you do me..." part ends on the 1x3. My tabs end where that part ends. If the end is played differently(as the end of the verse into "oh my love" is different) then it's a new section of the tab. The reason I put the transition in there is because in all honesty, people want to see tabs...not read. It says it right there that you play the verse, then verse->other transition -> other All my tabs follow the same rules that they are tabbed once in order they are played. Maybe that will help. The transition part I showed was necessary to show the move into the other part because it is different from the verse and from the other part...although it's a combination of the 2

ok, i see what you are saying...i guess when the two parts are sort of "intertwined" it seems that it could confuse some people. anyway, i am sure no one will really have a problem learning it, there is nothing wrong with it, after all, it's your tab! keep up the good work
