Modulus Basses

Topics about musical instruments other than guitar should go here. There's bound to be a Carter, LeRoi, or Yo-Yo Ma out there.

Modulus Basses

Unread post by DreaminBassMunky » Sat Jan 03, 2004 5:38 pm

Good lord. Go to your nearest guitar shop and play one of these...NOW. An amazing piece of instrument. Steffan plays on the new Flea Basses, and hey they are only 2200 dollars. But seriously all bass players check the this site: http://www.modulusguitars.com/ and be amazed.

BTW, Phil Lesh plays on a custom Quantum 6 string. Sends shivers down my spine.

Warwick isn't much better...although...they do have a Rockbass which I guess for them is like a Squier version of their original bass. Lucky for me my parents are giving me 200 bucks and i am cashing in my 5 string, so that I can a brand new Lakland Skyline. Check em out, professional suggested it to me, said it was the best bass you could buy for the money. And i will have the money sooner then I thought. Just need to find someone to buy my shitty Squier 5er.

I have a warwick thumb bass...pretty nice, the tone is a little too heavy tho(like gainy, and bassy, not enough high end...still is a sweet bass tho)

I have never played a modulus, or a fodera, and those are def. the top basses i want to get my hands on. Like oteil's signature semi-hollowbody six string modulus..*drools...* Fodera's seems pretty sweet as well.

i may get a warwick thumb bolt on from guitar center for 999,,, normally 1899....yay for clearence items. its new too, not used. its beautiful, the only thing i hate is that its got a short upper horn, so the neck dives. this sucks, because of my stefan influence i like my bass as high up as possible, so the headstock is at least at eye level...maybe i'll conjure someway to get a dolphin sn......purrrrrr.

well, if you wanna look it up..i got mine from basscentral.com for 1200 bucks, and it's new, but through the company is really really cheap. basscentral is out of florida, and it has come real great sales on really expensive basses. it's worth a check....oh wait, nevermind..i just saw 999, nm...

not just any Fodera. A custom made Victor Wooten Fodera with a butterfly inlay as I recall.
