Warehouse (my best work yet!)

Topics about musical instruments other than guitar should go here. There's bound to be a Carter, LeRoi, or Yo-Yo Ma out there.

Warehouse (my best work yet!)

Unread post by DreaminBassMunky » Thu Aug 21, 2003 11:36 am

Code: Select all

Warehouse
Tabbed: 8/20/03
Version: Red Rocks
Length: 8:04
Tuning: E-A-D-G

Guitar/Violin Intro 0:00 – 1:02

Bass and Drums Join Intro 1:02 – 1:19
--------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------
--7-7-7-7-7*-------------7-7-7-7-7-7--
*Rapid fire 16th notes. I speculate that there is probably 8 of them. Repeat that section twice.

Guitar/Violin/Drums Section 1:19 – 1:32

Stacacto Notes before Verse 1:32 – 1:35
-------------------------
-------------------------
--10-9-7---------------
------------10-8--5/7--

Verse 1:35 – 1:50
------------7----
-------11----7--
----9------------
-7---------------

repeat three times then go into:

…playful beginning
--------------------------
--------------------------
--------------------------
--7--/--5--/--3--2-2/7-

Go into Verse part one again, three times, then repeat the second verse part, before going in the prechorus.

Prechorus 1:51 – 2:05
------------------------------------
-----------------------4-----------
-----------5--------------7-5-4--
-5---5--------3---3--------------
Be creative with the prechorus, I added the fill that I hear Steffan using, but make your own stuff up.

After the prechorus pull this little slide back into the verse* 2:05 – 2:08
--------------------------------
--------------------------------
--------------------------------
-19\17\15\14\12\10\9-5/7--
·	I did this on a fretless bass so you may need to adjust the fret number, but I think it’s right on.

Or play it like this:
----------------------------
--9\7----------------------
-------10\9\7-------------
----------------10\9-5/7--

Verse 2:08 – 2:29
Prechorus 2:30 – 2:45

The Jam Section 2:45 – 3:17
----------------------------------------
----------------------------------------
----------7/9---9/11\9---7-9-7------
-7--7-9---------------------------9---
repeat three times then go into this:
-------------------------
-------------------------
-------------------------
--3--3--3----5--5--5--

The repeat both parts again.

Violin/Guitar/Drums Part 3:17 – 3:28

At the end of that part come back in with the slide from the 19th fret, and slide right back into the verse.

Verse 3:32 – 3:48

Prechorus 3:49 – 4:05

Jam Section 4:06 – 7:19

Jam section fills:
--------------------------------
-----------------9-8-----------
----------7--9-------9-7------
-7--7-9-------------------9-7-

-------------------------------------
-------------9-8--------------------
------7-9--------10-9-7-----------
-7-7-----------------------10-9-7-

Note: at 6:12 when Dave finishes his lyrics and Leroi begins to solo the bass line becomes much more upbeat and “happier” sounding. Try this:
-------------------------------------
------------6-----------------------
----6-7-9----------9-7-6----------
-7--------------2----------9-------
This part goes to the 7:19 mark.

7:19 – 7:22
-------------------------
-------------------------
-------------------------
|-3--3-3-3---5--5-5-5-

7:23 – 7:26
-----------7-------------------7------
------11-----7-----------11-----7---
---9------------------9---------------
-7-----------------7------------------

7:27 – 8:04
-------------------------------------
-------------------------------------
-------------------------------------
-5---3---2---1--------0*----------
*Hold that last open E out till the end of the song.

I think that's a pretty damn good tab. Any questions or comments, are always appreciated. Let's see you top that one bartender

Damn, if we keep this up, we'll have every released song done in like a couple months. Hopefully Kanter will see our talent and put most of them on his site...when he has the chance ofcourse. Thatd be pretty cool :D But lets keep it goin!

That looks perfect! Awesome job, Warehouse is my favorite song right now...one I'm trying to master. I'll throw those bass lines into my recording :) Thanks!
