Harmonica: What Would You Say
Harmonica: What Would You Say
If anyone has any experience playing harmonica or can help me out with the tabs for the harmonica solo in What Would You Say with John Popper as the harmonica player that would be great. I've been playing harmonica on and off for a while now, but I still struggle pulling harmonica parts out of songs just by ear. Thanks.
Re: Harmonica: What Would You Say
The most important thing is to determine what key harmonica he's using. I'm still new to harmonica also, but I know most solos are played in cross harp. The key of the song is A, so he's probably using a D harmonica. From there I'd just play around until you get something that sounds kind of like it. Just curious what songs do you know on Harmonica? I can just play a few things, like Love Me Do by The Beatles, the solos to For Your Love by The Yardbirds and the Scrubs theme song (Superman by Lazlo Bane), and the intro to Bob Dylan's version of AATW. I'm looking to get more into it, but there aren't many popular songs that use harmonica. I want to learn Run-Around or Hook by Blues Traveler (both great harmonica songs if you haven't heard them), then get one of those neck harmonica holders and play it on harmonica and guitar.
