anyone know a good kind/brand of penny whistle; like the one Leroi uses on "Bartender" live from Folsom Field DVD/CD?

the one leroi uses is like a few hundred bucks if I'm not mistaken.

yeah but do u kno what kind it is. Also if you look in the BTCS insert booklet you can see the band thank Big Voice Jack for pennywhistles. Kind of an arbitrary point since it doesn't help me much.

no idea. I know there is really expensive pennywhistles, and there's really cheap ones you can get like at a giftshop. just got to look.

I heard somewhere that Big Voice Jack gave Dave a bunch of pennywhistles. That could be the meaning behind it...

I just realized that pennywhistles come in different Keys. I wouldnt even know how to find out what ones Leroi plays on The Dreaming Tree or Bartender Folsom Field.

Roi uses an Abell pennywhistle. As for the key...
I believe all the songs he plays pennywhistle for are in D
