The Other Instruments Random Tab Thread
So, since this has been a dead zone, I thought I'd make a new thread.
Post your little incomplete bits and riffs of songs that you've tabbed here.
For your cutting/pasting pleasure:

D:----------------------------*4-----------------------*4-------------------
A:----------------------------------------------------------------------------
E:---0-0--00---x0-0-0---0-------0-0--00---x0-0-0------------------------
Main groove
(again, very staccato, changes subtlely almost every time, but it's on upright so i'm having an impossible time nailing it down.)

This is a damn tricky groove. Vic says on the Bass Day '98 that even he doesn't quite have it right. Here's what I got out of it, sounds pretty good to me. As with many masterful lines, there are infinite variations and fills. Haven't nailed down the chorus yet either.
/ = slide down neck
^ = bend
Main Slapped Groove
G:---------------------------------------------------------------------------
D:---------------5-----7-----------5----------------------------------------
A:--7----------------------x--5h7---7--------------------------------------
E:-----0--x--x-----x--------------------------------------------------------
Main Groove w/ the Sweet Pops
G:-------------------------------------9-9-9h12-----------------------------
D:---------------5-----7-----x-9h12------------------5----7----------------
A:--7-------------------------------------------------------------------------
E:-----0--x--x-----x-----------------------------x--x-----x-----------------
Bridge, strummed (guitar solo first, but on the third time the bass comes in with distortion)
G:-----4-4-4---7-7-7---x-x-x---16--19/----4-4-4--7-7-7--x-x-x--19^-----
D:-----4-4-4---7-7-7---x-x-x---16--19/----4-4-4--7-7-7--x-x-x--19^-----
A:-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

really? i don't think i've seen that. guitarists usually use (12) or whatever fret you're supposed to do the harmonic on in the parenthesis.GSR wrote:Well fear not my friend!philtheman wrote:id post something but 1. i dont know how to put harmonics in tab formation and 2. i dont know how to do the code thing
