Violinists?

I was watching BET jazz on my rather short vacation to Florida with my friends, and we found this one band that was huge, it must have had like 10 people or so. Which maybe isn't huge, but larger than normal. Anyway they had a violin player, and he put Boyd to shame. Seriously he was amazing. The band in general was awesome, but he was incredible. I was just sharing in case there are any "hip" violinists out there, that are tired of classical music and just want to break out and play something cool sometimes. I am actually a cellist so I don't get much opportunity, that's why I took up bass and guitar, cause I could feel that kind of music inside me wanting to be free. As corny as it all sounds, that's what I have to say.

I'm kinda in that thing.. but I dont mind playing classical or anythign liek that hell my orchestra got to play the Messiah at our new liek 40 million dollar (or somethign liek it i dunno but it was hella expensive) performing arts center here and i enjoyed that so much with it being just honors orch and such. But yes.. i do kinda play some outside the classical stuff i want to learn some DMB but its like.. without anyone who can play Dave guitar stuff around here besideds me i have no one to try it with.

Man that violinist kicked some ass. What a great vacation huh man? Too bad we didn't catch his name. It would be cool to work on doing some new stuff on the cello, and maybe even translating some guitar to it.

hehe...it's pretty fun. my ex-girlfriend and i used to do a cover of #41 where i played guitar and she played viola. pretty stuff.

I wish I had a g/f lol... yeah.. the girl i coulda played with moved to Baltimore before we could try anything so that sucked.. and Cayla.. my other violin playing friend isnt good with solos liek if i write somethign she can play it, but our styles are not the same so itd be just weird.
