getting back on the bike

Topics about musical instruments other than guitar should go here. There's bound to be a Carter, LeRoi, or Yo-Yo Ma out there.

Unread post by filmdude100cms » Tue Jun 28, 2005 10:55 pm

well, about 4 years ago i started to play the alto sax. got really good, top of my band class, but quit at the end of the year mostly because the band teacher was a drunken closet homosexual with an afinity for satan... well i picked up guitar following this, but now i miss the sax, i have for awhile but now with getting into some jazz id love to have a sax arouind and am about to fall into some $$$... well before i go out and think about buying an instrument how hard is it to relearn an instrument like the sax?

sk8dude's spelling is right, i went and checked

and its the positioning of your mouth, teeth, and lips for playing a wind instrument. a player's embouchure will differ depending on what instrument you play. a sax player's embouchure will be much different from an oboe player or flute player
