Saxophone

Topics about musical instruments other than guitar should go here. There's bound to be a Carter, LeRoi, or Yo-Yo Ma out there.

And why do you make that assumption?

I believe Coldchillin does, as does Katelyn. I'm starting this summer once I can procure one.

I do play sax. I've been playing for almost 6 years now. Alto and tenor are my favorites. I think soprano and bari are color instruments, whereas alto and tenor saxes are basics.

well back to the saxaphone part of the thread: i just saw the rudy wooten performing last night. oh my good god. the man is insane.

his sax solos are like something very few can pull off. they are like guitar riffs in some sense.
since he can do circular breathing, he doesnt need to take a breath pause, which most sax players can do quickly and do in the right places in the song, but he flat out doesnt need to.
during a bridge/solo for jungle boogie, he just started holding a note, and he held it for at least 5 minutes as the band cut out and then came in with something else. everyone was freakin out because of how long he held this thing. holy moly that was incredible.
