CARTER'S CRAZY!!!!

Topics about musical instruments other than guitar should go here. There's bound to be a Carter, LeRoi, or Yo-Yo Ma out there.

CARTER'S CRAZY!!!!

Unread post by ryanjasonake » Thu Mar 31, 2005 9:38 pm

I have Noooooo clue how he does it. In the live trax vol.3 ant the meados music theatre. His drum solo is great, but you can hear a shaker thing and hes beating on the drums. Is someone playing the shaker or is he doing something with his feet, or what.
Are you guys working with a musical genius..

My brother is a drummer, and sometimes he attatches the shakers above a cymbol and hits it or has it vibrate as a result of his hitting the cymbol. That could be what Carter is doing.

ummm. I havent seen him use a shaker or tamborine on his high-hat. But I believe it might just be his high-hat opening/closing. I havent heard the track you mentioned yet.

Listen to YNK on the gorge, you can hear his hat's on in the intro while he solo's on the rims. Is that the same sound your hearing?

Yeah? I enjoyed that version, never really heard any other live version except for that video floating around of them on the rooftop

I am trying to download that off of Ares, all I got is Spoon (Great by the way), True Reflections, Bartender and Last Stop...so I am missing YNK and dreaming tree?
