Wow...I have been humbled...
The more Victor Wooten I listen to the more I feel like I shouldn't even call myself a bassist lol. Its funny cause for some reason it seems that people think im good...maybe its just a lack of options lol. I can't even imagine what he plays, I feel like such a hack. I was having enough trouble trying to keep up with Stefan...

I felt that way for awhile too man. Some of his stuff isn't that hard once you learn his techniques...which are pretty hard in themself. The thing you gotta remember...is he's been playing for 40 years. If you really wanna learn how to play like him, I suggeest buying one of his videos..the one that helped me the most was "making music" plus carter beauford is in it with vic. So much stuff to learn from that video...if you take in .002 percent of it, you will be a better player.
Once I started his technique...it took about 3 months of practicing it daily for a respectable sound to come out of my bass. Just start by muting the strings and going up and down using your thumb as a pick. then do thumb thumb. then do thumb thumb pluck. i'll try to get a video. you also need to remember...he plays banjo bass...AKA lots of open strings and hammering to play faster. he's just super accurate and his muting is godly.
