The latest acquisition

Topics about musical instruments other than guitar should go here. There's bound to be a Carter, LeRoi, or Yo-Yo Ma out there.

I saw a great jazz quartet the other week. The bassist did a crazy 5 minute solo on a standup. Amazingly fast for a standup. I was in love

you seem to know someone who is better than someone all the time.

oh well, my cousins aunts brother's friend is better than vic, and my relatives roomates daughter can play sax better than leroi

WE DONT CARE.

bassman, did you know that my brother can play bass better than vic... WITH HIS FEET!? While he's slapping around on the bass he's playing saxophone... BETTER THAN JEFF COFFIN with one hand. In his other hand he's either writing down music or playing the flute

The bassist in my band met him and talked to him for like 3 hours and he said in those 3 hours he learned more about bass than he has in 6 years.

He is so fucking sick.

There's this guy who plays a miminum of two saxes at a time. Nothing big, he just doubles-triples the melody

i dunno...ever heard rudy wooten? jeff is probably more melodic and followable but rudy is sick with the circular breathing stuff
