Piano parts to Out Of My Hands & Steady As We Go

Topics about musical instruments other than guitar should go here. There's bound to be a Carter, LeRoi, or Yo-Yo Ma out there.

I've really been anxious to try and play OOTM ever since I first heard it...

Brock, they aren't different. OOMH is an A played every upbeat (more or less) with C, D, A bass notes. Then with E, F, and D bass notes. Then the chorus I am PRETTY sure he plays and A chord, D chord, then A chord again. I did that without my piano, so I am guessing, but those should work...

Only time he deviates from that is at the end when the choruses are extended and he repeats the section with the thirds and fourths. There's also pedal in there, but I couldn't figure out pedal markings in this program so you'll have to listen to the song to figure out where he lets up.

Thanks for that program tip, scallops. Worked out very nicely.

Thanks a ton for Out Of My Hands... that was a great... i really think you nailed it. I had fun playing it, it isn't too hard, so I was able to sit down and pretyt much play it smoothly the first time through.

I really want to be able to play Steady As We Go... looking at butch on the AOL Live concert, there's definitely a ton of more notes than the ones you transcribed. Thats a good start, but we aren't even close to the whole thing. Does anyone know if there's an official piano/vocal/guitar book out for Stand Up? I might spend $20 on that, even though I only really want it for one song. I'll transcribe what is from the book for you guys and post it if I do get the book.

But I should ask first, does anyone here have the official book already? Could you just post it for us? If you don't have a scanner, could you transcribe it for us?

Are you sure the A's on OOMH aren't upbeats?

I did a quick search on Amazon, nothing came up. When do they usually come out with these books? This is the first album I've actually been interested in the book right away, so I have no clue when to expect it.

The BS book came out November 1, 2002. BS came out July 16, 2002.

And I think my sheet is correct, but I may be off. To be perfectly honest, it's been at least 2 years since I've studied theory so I may not be on top of my game.
