Keyboard?

Hey, i'm a guitar player, but I'm looking for a nice cheap keyboard to set up in our recording room just to mess around with.

I would like something with a lot of features and affects, since i'm not really that great of a piano player (i'm hoping to just be able to throw weird affects, or drum riffs on without being able to tell that i can't play piano well hah). Anything that is very affordable would be my main focus. (Around $300 hopefully, or less).

I don't know much about keyboards, so if you guys do, i'd like to see some input.
