Actually, the point of a chorus pedal is to play back what was just played very shortly after it was played. Thus, it creates an effect of the sound of more than one instrument or singer playing/singing the same part, since no two instrumentalists/singers will perform at exactly the same time. Ergo, a chorus pedal creates a choir-like sound; many of the same note being played almost at the exact same time, but not quite. You, however, are out of tune. I think it sounds pretty damn good. You are a good player. If someone can listen to that completely, and all they can say is that you are out of tune, and nothing else, I would say they are jealous and just trying to bring you down.
do you play DMB too? if so, I have a ton of their songs recorded on drums if you wanted to play with them.
