Tips on singing

Topics about musical instruments other than guitar should go here. There's bound to be a Carter, LeRoi, or Yo-Yo Ma out there.

Not if he is practicing wrong.

I would read up on singing technique. I am currently taking voice lessons from my girlfriend. Right now she really is working on my breathing technique. The first thing you want to do is figure out what your singing range is. Then work on matching pitches. Taking a few lessons might help too.

Lessons.

If not lessons. Learn how to project. Don't sing out of your nose. Search online. There's some good tips there.

The people that can't sing are the ones that are tone deaf.

You can sing. I know you can :)

Don't try to emulate others either. And remember, some of the greatest performers are not really "singers" by definition. They play mean guitar or whatever and write great songs and can convey emotion by their performance not necessarily their range.
