24 ABSOLUTELY VERBATIM DMB BASS TABS

Topics about musical instruments other than guitar should go here. There's bound to be a Carter, LeRoi, or Yo-Yo Ma out there.

well its good that your taking the time to tab and giving them out instead of keeping them to yourself...just naturally if i see stuff like this i like to turn it off in my head. I may not be a God of a bass player, but theres some pretty kick ass ones here that I cant imagine saying stuff in that manner to lol.

Just came off as you preaching, is all cool though. as long as you didnt mean it to come off that way.

Thanks, I'm glad this is all clearing up. I hate conflict between musicians.

Boy, it's strange knowing hundereds of people have looked at these charts and I only have a handful of constructive criticism. These forums are addictive. I must admit I check them more than my band's itenerary.

Confilct between musicians can make them strive to be better. Competition is a type of conflict, probably not to the extent that you were thinking of though.

Conflict.

Conflict between musicians lost our last bass player, piano player, and sax player their jobs at the same time, and they we're swiftly replaced with more talented musicians who only compete with theirselves. I heard a rumor of a guy in highschool years ago, who said he was better than me on guitar. Funny thing is I never met him or heard him play. I don't think I'd even tell a beginner guitar student I was better than them. Competition is personal, otherwise you are just bragging until a really talented player comes along and leaves you in his trails, and even then he will just say it was nice jamming with you. In the circles I run in we compete with ourselves, and compliment each other. My favorite story to tell is from when we played with Lifehouse last year, and they just got in from Germany, and they were all complimenting us on how good the show was. The drummer especially spent all his time backstage talking it up with our drummer, and on the way out of the parking lot they pushed through the groupies and shook our hands while we were leaving. No competition. Just respect in this game.

Guys, I'm so sorry I was just going over all of this material with our new bassist and noticed some simple errors on a few charts like notes tabbed on the wrong string by accident, and notes that were one half step off. Brain fart I guess from trying to tab too quickly. There aren't many at all, let me know if you've come across a chart with any small error so I can fix it. Thanks.
