cheap but good bass

Topics about musical instruments other than guitar should go here. There's bound to be a Carter, LeRoi, or Yo-Yo Ma out there.

I'm happy with my Ibanez Soundgear, action kinda sucks, but it's good for slapping/popping blah blah blah

It's the best you'll get for 120 dollars but will be nowhere near a higher end bass.

Go for it. I assume you know how to set up guitars. You'll want to give it a good set up upon getting it.

I had an SX SPB-57 for a while. Had to adjust the truss rod and string height, and I changed the strings, but the intonation seemed good enough. A tuner may or may not have shown it to be off a little bit, but I never heard any stale notes out of it playing with a band.

Solid bass, well worth the money. I sold mine because I never played it, if I had it to do over again I probably would have just kept it to leave at our practice space. But I sold it for what I paid, so I guess I could get another one . . .
