Carvin Basses

Topics about musical instruments other than guitar should go here. There's bound to be a Carter, LeRoi, or Yo-Yo Ma out there.

Carvin Basses

so i've been looking at some of these bad boys for a little while now..

Good
$800
sound awesome (check out the sound room on the site)
neck through
4, 5, and 6 strings
great reviews
10 day trial period
a billion options

Bad
direct mail order only, no play before you buy
they aren't warwick or modulus

i dunno boys, the LB70 looks freaking sweet. also check out the P-series upgrade, that looks intense too. anybody have one? whatcha think? i just dropped $1000 on my fretless modulus recently, but i miss having frets, and carvin seems like a good alternative to warwick/modulus, for a little less cash. plus i'm tired of waiting around for a dolphin sn or a flea.

They seem nice but I would HAVE to play a bass before I bought it. Ebay seems to have a Dolphin pop up every once in awhile, and I've seen plenty of Fleas on there.

I was assuming, since you own a Modulus, and have probably played a Warwick...you know how they play.
