Effects Processor Help!

I'm looking into buying an effects processor. I'd use it mainly with my electric, but probably occassionally with my acoustic. Most of the times I'd be using the effects processor through a PA. I want to try to stick to low 300's but I guess 300-400. Some names I've heard are Boss GT-6, Line 6 POD XT, and few others. If any has one of these or can recommend one in my price range please help me in my search for one.

I have a DigiTech RP3 which is pretty cool, but i'd suggest getting a Pod Line 6. There better.
