Building my own guitar from a StewMac kit. It's going to be Solid Spruce and Mahogany if it ever turns out. I'm pretty excited. Should recieve it in the mail sometime soon. I figured since I've sent all of Bob Taylor's kids to college I should start thinking of some other way of buying an All American Solid wood geetar. I'll keep you posted if anyone cares. I'm hoping to get good enough at it that I can make guitars for my friends, including my board-buddies.

I thought about trying that out before, but I figured that I would have to own more than a screwdriver and hammer to build it

Good Luck

$400.00 after Tuners. It seems to be a real nice kit though, the grain on the mahogany is gorgeous and the spruce is bright and tight. Detailed instructional video as well.

They don't provide finishing instructions- that's going to take some work.
