BREEDLOVE

Does anyone know anything about Breedlove guitars? They seem to be well built, but I can't find a dealer around me that carries them. If anyone has any info, please share.

I don't know the model, but the Breedlove I played a few weeks ago at my local shop was the best sounding guitar I've ever had my hands on. I was ready to drop a grand on it until I realized it was more like $2600.

A friend at work has one, he bought his for 6 grand (he's an older type, 48, with lots of money to burn apparently). It's completely custom. He has this native american whale art inlay all up the fret board, and if I remember correctly it's made from Koa. It is the most amazing guitar I've ever had the chance of playing. He had to pat me down too, make sure I didn't have any belt buckles or buttons that would scratch it. The thing of it is though, he doesn't even play guitar. He scoffs at me everytime I bring up Taylor guitars.

matttherevelator-

I don't know where you're from, but the best place to get one around where I live is Apple Music in downtown Portland. They are made in Bend, Oregon, so these guys have the serious hookup with them. A couple of the guys who work in their acoustic shop actually build for Breedlove. I've luckily been able to play a bunch of them, Apple Music has a full room dedicated to only Breedloves

Go to this website. http://www.applemusicrow.com Go to the products page, then the acoustic guitar page, then the breedlove section and let the drooling begin.

They are awesome guitars and I would buy one over a Taylor any day of the week. I love the way they look, sound, feel, etc... They are so pimp.

My only complaint about them, which is a petty one, is the head stock, just something about it rubs me the wrong way.

I've played ten or twenty in shops and I've found they produce some of the best and worst sounding guitars. They're INCREDIBLY inconsistent. Stay away from their new laminant line, for those prices a Takamine or Alvarez would do you much better.
