I am looking at getting a Larrivee D-03. What do people think about Larrivee? Does anyone have one? If so what model and what has been your experience. Thanks

its badass...i have the D-03BW and it sounds awesome. Looks nice and simple and its loud with a better sound than my Alvarez AD-60k and the lower end taylors in the same price range.

I was in the market for a Martin when the salesman pulled that guitar out. WOW what a sound. It really sounds great. I would have bought one but I always wanted a Martin so that is what I got. I paid $1600 for a D-35 and I could have got the Larrivee for $825. I would have no reservations about getting a Larrivee. Sure I got hung up on the name but a Martin is still a Martin. My only recommendation is to get the best Larrivee you can. Spend the money now. Dont regret your choice. Really compare the rosewood vs. the mahogony. Let me know what you decided. Bottom line is they are a great guitar.

I love the way larrivee's sound. Like others said, it is a lot of guitar for the money. I've played a lot of them. Check out the D-03 R. I've found them for around 800 and they are a nice rosewood guitar. The blackwoods are awesome too.
