(its not end pin jack, its old school)

is there any way that i can take all the eq and crap out and batteries out and just run a cord out the end pin or somthin to my mixer?

I'm not entirely sure what you mean, but I am going to say most likely no.. that "eq and batteries" thing also is a "preamp" which takes the pickup and gets it to a reasonable signal level and impedance for transmission, and if you bypassed that, unless it was a balanced output (which in theory you could rewire to have happen), you'd have poor signal performance over any kind of wire-run.

You'd also have a big hole in the side of your guitar where the eq was. Simply an aesthetic problem, I know, but it would be a big one for me.

yep, you got what i mean

but there are preamps on my mixer for the mic inputs and i could use that, would it work?

and the holes arent a problem

mic cables are balanced (3-conductor) so any noise picked up over the wire-run is cancelled.. but normal instrument cables are unbalanced (2-conductor) so any noise picked up over the wire-run is kept.. depending on the pickup, it is a balanced output, you could run it to a board and get the same performance, but if it isn't, there will be at least some loss in quality.

I'm guessing it probably is a balanced output on the pickup.. my guitar, in fact, has a balanced output that goes to the "bumb box" from my pickup.. but again, I would check that out before you even bother.. and I try it by feeding the wires out of the soundhole before you decided to make any permanent changes; I have a good feeling that it will not sound as good as the "dumb box" on the side

i dont even remember saying that, haha

yeah, the guitar has xlr output on it, but this is getting very complicated and probably expensive, so i think ill just forget it

i just hate having the weight of 2 nine volts in my acoustic

thanks soo much for the help
