Almost positive the 200 series dont come with the es system. And of course these two guitars are pretty different, you need to find out what youre looking for in a guitar. Electronics, dreadnought/auditorium, etc...Oahu wrote:Negativo. Hop on the 214e- the expression system is awesome. Taylor will treat you better in the event of a warranty claim as well.

Well, I dont even know that the 214 can come with electronics, unless theyre changing that this year, and if youre getting it installed its gonna cost more so look at that. But I must say I never looked at the 200 series and after looking into them I must say that I jumped a little too quick on my suggestion. But Id have to play it to say what I really think, I assumed they were kinda lower end and it seems that everyone with a D-15 loves it, I just dont like the look. Ulitmately its your decision, keep playing them both and decide on what you like more between their different tonewoods and body styles, playability and sound and make your decision.

taylor numbers start at 300. the rest are blah. i think that the high end makers are just that. if you want a lower end or mid-priced guitar, find a company that specializes in that range. i've just found that the low end of martin and taylor never live up to the alverez, breedlove, etc.
but try them out. this is just my subjective opinion, you gotta make the choice for you.

Only if you don't get a proper setup. The D-15's do ship with high action, but you can get that lowered, and they play just as easily as any good guitar should.everydayDMBfan_18 wrote:I prefer the d-15, but...and this is a large but...the d-15 is harder to play so I don't know if that matters to you at all

there is a regular 214E being produced.
id say spend $200 on an alvarez and save up for a nicer guitar. Taylor 300+
