PEDALS......
PEDALS......
Alright everyone. Quick one. I have a DL-4 and want a Boss pedal to play along with. I'm looking at a DD-6, but I'm wondering what the benefit of having both is. Is it just being able to loop my delays? Someone reccomend what I should be buying with my DL-4. Thanks.
The DD-6 is a delay pedal for quick delay and can only loop for a few seconds. The DL-4 allows you to play long loops; 14sec I think?
You should definitely get both. As far as accessories, you shouldn't really need anything for the DL-4, but you may want to get a non-latching pedal for tap tempo for your DD-6.

Get the DD-6 or a DD-5 You can't go wrong. YOu can loop delays or delay your loops depending where in the cahin you put the pedal. I have one and I know Firedancer has one and he will tell you the same thing.
Of course you gotta get what you want so have fun choosing. Play anything you can get from Delays to Sitar simulators and pick the one you would have the most fun with!

the blues pedal is a distortion pedal that gets you a bluesy sound, i think. go to the boss site...they actually have some sound samples that you can mess around with to see what each one does, etc.
i'd go with a dd-6 just for the extra features it has. check on e-bay for some decent prices.

chorus, reverb and volume. i have used all with varied success. i'm not gonna get any reverb. volume pedal is fun cuz it is really interactive.Dancing Ants wrote:what are some other good pedals i could use for acoustic?
chorus is pretty sweet as it really fattens your sound. but i think some acoustics can really go overboard with chorus and it sounds cheesy.
i've been think about Visual Sounds H2O Chorus + Echo. a great addition to any chorus pedal is an echoplex type pedal and lo an behold Visual sound is on top of it. this way i could have my chorus with slight delay/echo (800ms) and still have my DD6 for the 5.2sec stuff and backwards/loop etc.
