She's not as wet as I want it

... my guitar. I discovered a nice little crack in the fretboard today; very fine, so I hope that it will fill on its own once I get the humidy up in my apartment.

Anyhoo, do you guys have actualy guitar humdifiers or do you just moniter the humidity in the room? I'm leaning toward the latter, unless someone can convince me otherwise with a moving and captivating guitar humidifier tale.

I live in a location that's well-humidified, and I don't have a humidifier, nor do I monitor the humidity. Never had a problem.

i'd say the obvious answer is you need to buy her some scented candles...

distilled water? i just use water from the sink and make sure it doesn't drip...

i have a humidity monitor that i got for about 15 bucks and then a soundhole humidifier that i got for 7 bucks. i use it accordingly, but since it's winter i almost always have the soundhole humidifier in unless i'm playing. :P

i have a hummidifyer, and a digital hygrometer and it's pretty easy to monitor a small room and keep it between 35 and 55%.
