hey.
http://www.ibanez.com/guitars/guitar.as ... =SR800&z=y
^this is the new bass i'm gonna get for christmas whoohoo!^ anyway, i'm excited because it has active pickups. i'm pretty sure that on guitars that have active pickups, you guys get a little switch that you can flick to get different sounds right? i was wonderin how the active electronics work on this bass. if you look closely at the controls, two of em are slightly smaller, and are labeled "Top: treble boost/cut. Bottom: Bass boost/cut" and "Top: mid boost/cut, Bottom: mid frequency"
i just wanted to know what the HELL all those phrases mean. is it something like where you can push/pull out the knobs for different sounds or whats the deal dudes? thanks a bunch, as always is the case.

from what i can gather by your description and the website, i'm pretty sure they are just an EQ.

I just saw a bass just like that one at sam ash today.. i believe the bottom two are actually 2 knobs in one.. a knob on top of a knob essentially.. To switch between pickups, i believe you turn down the top knob of it and it shuts that pickup off..
