Should I get my guitar "set up?"
Should I get my guitar "set up?"
I recently bought a Taylor 314ce. When I bought it, it had just arrived in the store so they brought it out from the back and the strings were tuned down about an octave or so. I've had it for almost a month now and when you sight down the neck, there is a very slight bow in the center of the neck. Its barely noticable. Also the action is nice and low but something feels a a tiny bit off. My question is, should I bring the guitar somewhere to be "set up," and how much would it cost?

kinda depends how much you expect out of the guitar. it can be noticably easier to play and sound better too with a proper set-up. but if you are just rockin by yourself it may not be worth it to ya. i'd say you shouldn't spend more that 50 for a full set up and fret level.Steve-O wrote:I recently bought a Taylor 314ce.
