stupid loud strings

Unread post by seth_southerland » Mon Nov 17, 2003 5:26 pm

what kind of strings are the slick ones so that when you slide they dont make that damn annoying screeching sound? i got some new strings today "blackdiamond phosphor wound brass" and those are louder than the crappy brass ones that came with the guitar i have, so i kind of hate these

I prefer the Elixir Nanowebs to the Polywebs, theyre the same thing pretty much except the coating is super thin and theyre not as slippery.

Christ, lets not get into this debate, everyone knows that D'add's sound the way Elixirs sound after youve had them for 6 weeks. They sound like old nasty strings and wear out in like two weeks, theyre shitty, 'nuff said.

The "extended play" you get with them is the week where your trying to break the fuckers in. I've said it before and I'll say it again: the only good thing about elixers is that they don't squeak.

Or you could get coated D'Add's, which also do not squeak, and actually have a tone that does not make people want to puke.
