Equipment for Playing Live

Unread post by fraggle » Sun Dec 15, 2002 1:27 pm

I am going to start plugging myself around the area to start doing some live shows. I think I am ready for at least some 1 hour sets. I have a Mackie 12 channel already, what other equipment would you all recommend? Also how should I go about trying to get gigs?

Thanks!

Paul

a) where do you live

b) you need a press kit.

this wbesite has a great list for what a press kit is involved in... http://www.musicbootcamp.com read abotu the press kit you can probably make your own (i am).

i'll get you info about a PA system. i talked to Paul Reed Smith himself (the owner and creator of PRS guitars) about amplifying music live. he got me into a great set but i cant remember what it's called. i'll try asnd find it.
