I have a Martin Acoustic/Electric and I absolutely love it. I have had people who own Taylor's and Gibson's say that is the best sounding guitar they have played in a long time.

Anyway, I was wondering what is the best kind of strings that I can put on it. I have some Martin Extra Lite Guitar strings on it now, but I am not sure if those are right,

What do you guys think?

Everyone will give you different opinions, I prefer Elixir Nanoweb Lights, others will say Daddario EJ16/17 (cant remember) also a light string. Those are the most popular on the boards it seems, try them both and any other kinds youve heard about and choose what you like best.

Its a pretty divisive subject on these boards. I think the only true answer is to try a bunch of brands and different guages until you find your tone. After an exhausting search, I've settled on D'addario medium gauge. however, my new guitar came with elixir lights slapped on and the tone was purrrrrty, so I might try those again next switch.

FWIW I think D'addarios medium guage are the best sounding strings.
