I never thought I'd ever have a Tak but this thing just sounded too good to pass up. The action is better than most six strings I've played, the tone is like warm apple pie, and the notes have a quick response and nice long sustain. what it does lack is in the bass but I can handle that. for a 12-string, big loud boomy bass is not very favorable anyway. its not the loudest guitar but the sound that it does manage to produce sounds nice as hell. I'm as suprised as the next guy that a guitar for this price ($300) sounds so damn nice. you just never know with acoustic guitars, I guess.

my main guitar (6 string) is a Tak and, for the money, i think they are certainly one of the best choices in their price range...i am absolutely in love with mine and will keep it as a "beater" guitar when i can one day afford a big name guitar...

yeah, my guitar is a 6-string takamine, jasmine version, and it was only like $198 or something, and it sounds great.

I loved my Tak EG240 for the 2.5 years it was my only guitar. Great tone, great price. Action was a little high, but it conditioned me well. The best beginner guitar out there in my opinion.

The higher end taks have a very balanced tone. Right up there with Martins and more bassy than Taylors. They make superb guitars.
