Martin/Taylor...best analogy EVER...BMW/Mercedes

Unread post by jkanter » Tue Aug 05, 2003 12:31 am

I'm lazy so I'm just posting a convo I had earlier with TBill about this whole topic. It's said best the way it happened.

jaredmanjr: that's why I always compare Taylors and Martin's to BMW's and Mercedes
jaredmanjr: both top notch cars
jaredmanjr: but honestly......BMW's are made to do exactly what they sould....BE DRIVEN
jaredmanjr: and it's perfect
jaredmanjr: and Martin's are made to be PLAYED....and it's perfect
jaredmanjr: Mercedes has all these luxuries(jewels in Taylor's).....but people don't DRIVE them, they were made to be driven
jaredmanjr: Taylor's were made to be looked at...strummed, played..blah
jaredmanjr: that's it
jaredmanjr: Merecedes
jaredmanjr: it's the perfect analogy
jaredmanjr: yeah
jaredmanjr: Mercedes don't do it for me
jaredmanjr: THEY DON'T MAKE A STICK SHIFT
jaredmanjr: THEY HAVE POWERFULL CARS WITH NO STICK SHIFT!!!!
jaredmanjr: Imagine a BMW M3 without a stick shifyt
jaredmanjr: or an SMG II......racing paddels behind the wheel
jaredmanjr: although [Mercedes] make silky smooth automatics :-).....I just wouldn't drive em...just like Taylor :)

You guys can bring your opinions on...I'M RIGHT!!!
