I'm looking for something in an after-dinner guitar....

Want to ask about strings, maintenance, amps, mics, or comparisons of different guitars or any music equipment? This is for all threads related to music equipment.

Check out rainsong guitars, they produce mostly graphite guitars and have been in the business for a while. Eddie Vedder bought a few. Check it out http://www.rainsong.com/.

okay....don't ovations have a very metallic-y sound when plugged in? go listen to 3-23-93 (DMB) for the desired effect...that's the kinda sound i'm looking for.

I would characterize the Ovation sound, not so much metallic, but more hollow, light, crappy etc.

Many blues players play dobros, but mainly for slide work. Have you ever played one?
