Vintage National Resonator Guitars

Unread post by KozmoKat » Thu Apr 28, 2011 7:47 pm

I recently saw an old somewhat tarnished looking guitar at a rummage sale, and before I could get to it in the next aisle another guy grabbed it and quickly paid for it. $15. I caught up to him and found out it was a vintage National Resonator guitar that he thought was made out of silver. I offered him $150 for it on the spot which he quickly declined.

Just how rare and popular are these guitars?

Quite honestly, a vintage National is worth more than you'd like to think about. Especially if it had the original steel slide or any extras. That sucks. Sorry, duder.
