HUGE Score At Work Today!!!

Unread post by jsgksu » Tue Jul 08, 2003 6:48 pm

Ok, so I work for my local college on the grounds crew and since its my second year I get to do the easier fun jobs. Sometimes we have to go clean out houses of college students that have left for the summer, much better than mowing. Ive done this before and youd be amazed at the stuff that people leave behind. Up until today I had got a digital answering machine, a cd burner, a case of beer and 3 bottles of liquor. All things left behind by kids who had went home for the summer, but today was the biggest score ever. Keep in mind that this is not stealing, they left this stuff behind knowing theyd never see it again and our boss tells us to throw everything out of the house. So, on to the stuff I got:

1 PA system (No Speaker)
10-15 Guitar Cables
3 Microphone cables
Morley Wah-Pedal - $100
2 Chorus Pedals (1 Boss, 1 noname) - $100
Sansamp Classic
Shure Microphone Drum Kit w/ 4 mics and hard case - $250
100 ft. Snake w/ 16 inputs (have no idea what it is but I looked one up and think its worth around $200)
1 Guitar Stand
2 Mic Stands
1 Shitty Mic
Volume Pedal
Tuner
Guitar/Bass Strings
Lots of stereo etc. wires, adapters etc.

Thats about the majority of it, I could be leaving stuff out but thats about it. Can you believe that they left that much stuff behind? Pretty sure these guys were some hippy drug dealers cuz there was beer, pot paraphenalia and soil and other marijuana/shroom growing stuff all over the place. I think they just made a shit load of money selling stuff and didnt care about these things cuz I saw boxes for the new Apple laptops, an M Box, a Line 6 and other expensive stuff in their basement that they cared enough to take home. Even though I didnt get the real good stuff I made out pretty damn good. I only make $5.30 an hour there but todays score deffinatley made up for the lack of pay.

Wanna share your wealth and send me $150 for it. Just kidding, me and my friends have some songs we made up and we want to record them someday. I had thought of selling some of the stuff that I wont use right now but Id probably wish I had the stuff later in life. If I get hard up for cash I might sell some of the stuff but not anytime soon, sorry man.
